During the diagnosis and treatment process of any of the above cases, if the physician offered medication, injection, physiotherapy, or walking stick solutions, but the patient’s complaints continue, then the total prosthesis surgery method may be considered and applied as a solution. Prosthesis treatment may also be a solution for cases such as extreme phocomelia, severe joint pain, movement restriction that affect vital activities negatively.
If an infection is present on the knee or hip joints, it is not appropriate to apply prosthesis treatment. In such a case, infection treatment is necessary before prosthesis treatment. Then it is safe to execute prosthesis treatment.
